Diabetes Center

The Diabetes Center at the St. Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center is dedicated to patient education. Through counseling, group education, and support groups, individuals will receive valuable information on the following topics:

• Insulin usage (pen and syringe)
• Nutrition education
• Medical management and adherence
• Community resources for health food choices
• Blood glucose management

Supervised by the Department of Endocrinology and staffed with board-certified endocrinologists, certified nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, the Diabetes Clinic accepts referrals from all primary care physicians.
Referrals also available on-site for the following specialty services:

• Ophthalmology
• Podiatry
• Senior health center
• Wound clinic
• Dental care
• Social work
• Smoking cessation group
