Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders

The Bronx has the highest rate of diabetes of the five boroughs, according to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and St. Barnabas is in the forefront in meeting the challenge and developing effective strategies to help patients with type 2 diabetes.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked St. Barnabas among the top fifty hospitals in the country in the specialty of diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Our Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology sees adult patients for:

  • Diabetes
  • Osteoporosis
  • Thyroid Problems
  • Adrenal Problems
  • Parathyroid Problems
  • Difficulty controlling Cholesterol


Patients are usually referred by their primary care physician or gynecologist. Appointments can be scheduled at one of the following two locations:
